Back in October 2021 IAB Tech Lab released the new, id-sources.json tech specification. Here’s why you should care about it, and how you need to handle its implementation.

Soon enough after the introduction of sellers.json and buyers.json, IAB Tech Lab has released its new specification, particularly aimed at facilitating businesses working in the online advertising niche with more transparency, regarding types and sources of user identifiers, utilized in the ad supply chain, — id-sources.json.

This new specification can be specifically helpful for all players on the digital ad market in view of the upcoming deprecation of third-party cookies and their inevitable replacement by a variety of alternative user identifiers.
